The traveling gallery exhibition took place from July 29th to August 5th. The show titled “Art in a Suitcase: Women Creators of the World” gave the Hudson Valley a peek into the beautiful details of handmade Oaxaca textiles. The ‘Art in a Suitcase’ was previously in Panama before it arrived in Poughkeepsie. The art show also included photographs from Oaxaca, Mexico taken by Eric Mindling.

The art installation for the fabrics were designed by student curators at the Trolley Barn. According to gallery manager Jamie Ransome, the student curators carefully crafted hanging mechanisms in an assortment of colors to exhibit the materials without mannequins for elevation.
