Many organizations and individuals in the Hudson Valley took time out to collect and distribute school supplies for the 2022/2023 school year. The collective effort to make sure children in the region started the school year with the essentials was demonstrated all over Dutchess and Orange County.

In Beacon, a group called "I am Beacon" organized a Back To School Block Party. This event took place on August 20, 2022, in the parking lot of Key Foods on Main Street. The group "I am Beacon" collected a bus full of school supply items.
In Poughkeepsie, the back-to-school event at King Street Park was organized by Councilwoman Nedra Thompson and the Stop The Violence Movement on August 27, 2022. They gave away backpacks stuffed with supplies while hosting a free cookout, with games and a bouncy house for the kids.
In Newburgh, the Newburgh Enlarged City School District (NECSD) gathered school supplies and brought them to the Newburgh Free Library's annual back to school drive for August 27, 2022. The giveaway was made possible by community members, Hill and Markes Distributors and New York State Industries For The Disabled.
