The new 'Spirit of Beacon, New York is alive and well in the community! On September 25, 2022, the City of Beacon had a parade, live musical performances, and local shops selling delicious treats on Main street. Raindrops kept the crowds cool and the fall air crisp as visitors walked down Main street!

The Spirit of Beacon Day Celebration was organized by local volunteers. The organization says they have been bringing the community together since 1977.
“A day to bring the City together, especially the children and youth....the community should get to know one another better, learn to know what each other likes in conversation, feelings, entertainment, education and food.”

The festival started out with a parade and then became the ultimate block party taking over Main Street in a delightful way. Booths from dozens of local organizations were set up along the route creating an information superhighway that included giveaways and crafts for kids.

SO MUCH FUN!
The food was also delicious. Local shops were open and patrons could try anything from brick oven pizza to fresh lemonade. There was dessert too! Vincenzo of Vaccaro showed The Goodie Drop how to eat a 'Donnoli' - which is his creation combination.
